Five sexual harassment complaints against high school teachers have been filed with the state Department of Education, a Baja California official said.

Undersecretary of High School Education Teodoro Bernal told La Voz newspaper that three teachers have been dismissed due to sexual harassment of female students.

The complaints have been filed against teachers of the Colegio de Bachilleres High School and the Cecyte Systems in Tijuana and Mexicali.

According to Bernal high school principals have been notified to report any sexual harassment case to the agency in order to allow counsel departments to start the procedure.

Also, the state plans to hold training to prevent these cases from occurring again.
