Six individuals, including a minor, were arrested in downtown Mexicali while allegedly attempting to help two immigrants cross on top of the border fence.

Mexicali Police said Thursday the suspects were found by Cristóbal Colón Avenue while helping two individuals from the Mexican states of Puebla and Sinaloa cross the border.

The suspects were identified as Raul Alfonso, 28, Jose Fernando, 25, Alfonso Antonio, 26, Alejandro, 23, Jonathan, 18, and a 17-year-old minor. The suspects were turned to the Mexican Attorney General’s office.
