The state of Baja California announced new restrictions due to the increase of Covid-19 cases.

The Department of Public Health released a memorandum to all cities announcing measures including reinforced health checkpoints.

Also, street food preparers will not be allowed to sell their items. Street vendors will only be allowed to sell cleaning items and some others.

While churches and worship sites will be allowed at 50 percent capacity bars were allowed to stay opened.

Mexicali has become number one in cases nationwide with over 1,100. The areas with the highest number of cases are Colonia Hidalgo, Fraccionamiento Valle de Puebla, Colonia Independencia, Fraccionamiento Angeles de Puebla, Colonia Pro Hogar, Valle del Pedregal, Villas de la República and Colonia Industrial.
