Months after having started in California, the state of Baja California begins Monday the open Covid-19 vaccination for minors between 15 and 17 years.
The state said in a prepared statement that the government has 45,600 doses of Pfizer vaccines that had been approved for the inoculation of adolescents in Mexico.
Weeks ago began the vaccination of teenagers who have underlying conditions that put their lives at risk.
The state said 20,900 doses will be administered in Mexicali, 20,900 in Tijuana, around 3,000 in Ensenada and 1,300 in San Quintín.
Teenagers must first register online in the federal government’s platform in order to get vaccinated. Vaccination was originally set to start on Friday.
