Until the beginning of April the state of Baja California will remain in the green tier of the epidemiological light system, a state official said.

Secretary of Public Health Adrian Medina said Baja California will stay in green until April 3 due to its low score in metrics.

All 32 Mexican states are now set in low risk for the very first time in two years.

The official added that active cases and hospitalization rates have kept declining for weeks.

However the Secretary asked people to keep following protocols including use of face masks, social distancing and getting boost vaccines. Over the weekend Mexicali reported 92 of the 334 active cases in the state.
