Only one new case of COVID-19 was reported Wednesday in Baja California and no deaths, a state official said.

However, the day after 178 new cases were reported, of which 57 were of Mexicali.

Secretary of Public Health Adrian Medina said the curve of new cases has been steadily declined for weeks now.

As of Thursday, the state recorded 267 active cases, of which 74 were in Mexicali.

Also, hospitalizations have declined to an average of 11 percent.

Seven patients who are connected to ventilators have no vaccine, the official said. Mexicali has had 45,769 accumulated cases since the pandemic first hit the city.
