A state official said security in the East Port of Entry will be strengthened in order to stop the crossing of undocumented immigrants.
Secretary of Government Catalino Zavala said binational agreements have been signed to increase Port surveillance.
The official said of special interest is the commercial Port through which several immigrants attempted to cross Friday.
Zavala said Russian, Ukrainian and Haitian immigrant flux has increased in the last months. US Border Patrol agents and Mexicali Police officers apprehended over the weekend eight Cuban immigrants who attempted to cross among cargo trucks.
