A Mexicali high school said the allegations brought by a female student and parents of abuse from a teacher are under investigation.

The administration of the CBTIS 21 High School said the case was made public Tuesday during Women’s Day.

Students posted signs to report the case. Similar messages were written in the restrooms.

The administration said students are from different grades.

According to the administration the allegations were addressed on a timely manner and by following school safety protocols.

The school added that the issue is being investigated locally and at the federal level as well in order to protect the rights of those involved.

According to the school, to protect student integrity the authorities had taken proper measures to solve issues based in the law. “The most important is to make our students feel heard, addressed and respected,” the high school said. “You can be sure that whenever (students) express issues that make them feel bad or intimidated we will proceed according to the law to solve it.”
