Over 54,000 COVID-19 vaccines for pediatric patients arrived in the state of Baja California Friday.

The state Department of Public Health said the vaccines will be administered accordingly with the Mexican plan.

Secretary of Public Health Adrian Medina said the vaccines will be administered in strategic sites to outreach most of state children.

The Pfizer doses were adapted for children needs.

The agency expects to vaccinate 80 percent of the State’s 340,000 minors 5-11. In Mexicali, the authorities plan to administer vaccines in the Colegio de Bachilleres High School System campuses due to the high temperatures.
