More than 65,000 students had been reportedly back to school after the authorities decided to reopen campuses four weeks ago.

Acting Secretary of Education Gerardo Solis said over 101,000 students were expected to return for in school instruction, meaning about two out of every three students were back to the classroom.

The state official explained that returning to school is voluntary for parents.

State Secretary of Public Health Alonso Perez Rico said the authorities had detected 46 Covid-19 cases in schools. The cases led the state to close 16 classrooms and 15 schools statewide.
