Three individuals robbed Monday a fruit located in Southern Mexicali.

According to the police the suspects took half a million pesos or about $25,000.

The incident was reported at Frutería Linda’s, located in the Portales area.

The authorities said the suspects, who were dressed in dark clothes, arrived at the business at 8:20 a.m. and brandished firearms.

A 53-year-old man told the police after exiting the store the suspects approached him.

The cash was collected from three stores. The suspects then fled on a gray 2004 Honda Accord.
