A ceremony was held Friday in which about 1,200 public employees were affiliated to the Public Employee Union.

Union Secretary General Manuel Guerrero Luna said during the pandemic the authorities did not authorize any union affiliation.

At the same time, workers from seven agencies decided to join the union.

The affiliation event took place in the baseball stadium.

Guerrero admitted that his daughter was one of those who joined the union. The secretary general explained that his daughter worked hard in order to achieve affiliation. Of those affiliations 157 belong to the City of Mexicali.
