A Mexicali seafood restaurant was apparently kidnapped Thursday evening south of the city, according to media reports.

La Voz newspaper reported that the incident was notified to the authorities at 5 p.m. in Mariscos Los Guaynos, located by the San Felipe Highway close to Ejido Choropo rural town.

According to the report two individuals arrived at the scene in a white truck and a black Jeep Cherokee asking for “Tony.”

Then, the suspects took by force Luis Angulo Mazo, 38, aka “Chino,” who was eventually taken into the white vehicle.

The suspects fled northbound by the San Felipe Highway. The police were unable to find the suspects.
