A 32-year-old man died in a hospital Sunday after being assaulted with a knife, according to media reports.
The incident was first notified to the police at 10:12 a.m. in Fraccionamiento Valle de Puebla neighborhood in southeastern Mexicali.
The victim was identified as Jose Antonio Soto Santillana.
The victim was located injured on the street.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the victim to the General Hospital.
Soto Santillana succumbed later to the injuries. State authorities are investigating the incident.
